Entering
Dates
Whenever
you need to enter a date you can use the following shortcuts while
the cursor is within the date field.
• T = today's date
• + = go up one day (press repeatedly if required)
• - = go down one day (press repeatedly if required)
• m = first day of this Month
• h = last day of the current montH
• ## (any 2 digits) = that day of this month
• #### (any 4 digits) = that day of that month of the current
year
• ###### (any 6 digits) = that day of that month of that
year
Yellow
Fields
Whenever
you need to enter data in a yellow field it means that there is a
list available to choose from, to make data entry easier and
consistent.
You can see the list available for entry by either:
• triple clicking in the yellow field (click three times
quickly)
• Control Click (on MacOSX)
• Right Mouse Client (on windows)
• entering one or more letters of your desired selection and
pressing tab -
- at which point if there is still a number of possible options a
list will appear at the cursor to choose from. You can then click
in the list or enter mote letters to make a selection. If
there is only one possibility after you have entered some
letters then that will be entered.
The lookup is designed to be intelligent where firstly it will look
up an exact match. if that is not found then a begins with search
is performed. If that finds nothing then a contains search is
performed.
